I have just met with a patient for hard drug use (cocaine).
For the first time ever, a patient requested to meet with me personnally to thank me for my starting the company and for our researches. Usually, patients sometime thank their therapists, not me.
She had been using for over 20 years and tried every cure, therapy, detox and counseling available in the market. To no avail.
She did not believe in us but as she was contemplating suicide, she decided to give us a try with the last of her money.
She now cooks meals, takes care of her family and can hold a job. She now has money to live.
She requested to be aired on TV as a testimonial to help others. This is very rare because individuals that get treated for certain addictions (i.e. alcohol, drugs, etc.) usually do not want to be seen in public as opposed to nicotine users.
It was nice to be thanked.
